My push puppet music box...

The little Italian
push puppet dog is sitting on a music box. When I wind the key and unlock
the stop, the box plays a lovely tune called Emmenthalerlied. The music box is made by Gueissaz
of Switzerland and has an eighteen note drum. While the music plays, the dog
actually moves! I made a movie for you to see and hear it playing.
Be patient after you click on the small picture of the music box. The movie is quite slow to load and will be in a new window. If the sounds breaks up, stop the movie until it completely loads. It is about 1 minute in length. While you wait for the movie to load, you can read a short description of how it works and see internal pictures. |
